engine
rebuilds:
We really believe that Toyota knew what they were doing when the
designed the F series motors. It is not all unusual to see an early
model F motor with over 350,000 miles on it! There are lots of opinions
and suggestions about ways to get a little more HP out of these
motors. They are designed to pull hard and slow, low RPMs and Hi
torque. They were never designed to fly down the highway. Many of
the “secret” methods that gain a little HP do it by
sacrificing the overall life of the motor. The majority of our customers
are very happy with a stock rebuild. If you have a special application
or idea please contact us direct and we will see what we can do.
A stock rebuild includes new:
- Pistons
- Rings
- Main, rod and cam bearings
- Oil pump
- Timing gears
- Cam
- Lifters
- Freeze plugs
- All seals and gaskets
- Valve stem seals
Machine work to include:
- Decking the head
- Decking the block
- Polishing or resizing the main and rod journals
- Magnaflux of all primary components
- Head work to include new valves and guides and rockers as needed
- All valve seats re cut
- Valve springs checked, replaced as needed
- Line boring the block
- Polishing or boring the cylinders
- Reseating the wrist pins
- Blocking off of oil hole in late 2F and 3F heads
The basic motor is sold as a long block. This will be a complete
motor with valve train installed, oil pan installed, head installed
etc…
Items not normally included as “new” include oil pan,
rocker shaft, crank balancer. We will install your used parts or
can provide new for an additional cost.
Prices:
The basic long block price for an F motor is $2350. Currently there
is no core charge.
The basic long block price for a 2F is $2575 with a $500 core charge
The basic long block price for a 3F/3FE is $2750 with an $800 core
charge.
Your final price will depend on your core and any additional work
that may be required. Generally, the prices above are accurate.
Warranty:
12 months/12,000 miles. Basically, if you install the motor only
to find an internal issue we will do what it takes to make you happy.
A detailed warranty will be sent with the motor. As of August 2004
we are on motor #34 and have had only one issue so far and even
with that one we are inclined to say, ”Act of God”.

a truck by truck basis. Contact us for details.
